Claire Davis’ voice has been ringing out in clubs & concert halls all across Toronto for well over a decade. Her chops come from a deep understanding of the greats. Martha Reeves. Sharon Jones. Amy Winehouse. She has learned from the example of those before her and is quickly proving to be a soul Queen in the making. She cut her teeth as the front-woman for funk band Yuka, and has just released her first solo EP. Her latest single “Thrive” made it’s premier on CBC Music’s Strombo Show just the passed Sunday.
