Canopy Music Theatre is an outdoor music venue in the St. Clair W/Dufferin neighborhood of Toronto ON that was founded on July 1st 2020. Originally a private residence, it was repurposed as a venue to give musicians a safe place to perform during the Covid- 19 pandemic. Canopy has hosted dozens of shows, which have streamed across the world, & echoed throughout the treetops of the St. Clair W neighborhood. Founded by local singer/songwriter Josh Piche & sound technician Terry Jenkins, Canopy was built on an ideal of audiences contributing directly to artists, & to aid musicians in their careers through the pandemic.
Canopy has been featured on CBC Radio's "Big City, Small World" with Errol Nazareth, CBC National's "Fresh Air", Blog TO & was named 2021 Best Live Music Venue by NOW Magazine.
