Ben D'Cunha is one of Toronto's smoothest jazz singers. A native to the city, Ben built his chops on classical piano, but his true love was always jazz. He started singing after hearing Ella Fitzgerald’s stunning rendition of “How High The Moon” & never looked back. His originals have a new familiarity, rooted in the great American songbook’s greatest contributors, including Cole Porter & George Gerswin. His piano playing has the finesse of Diana Krall while his voice tells a story reminiscent of a Harry Connick Jr. New Orleans night out.

Ben graduated from the prestigious Humber Jazz Program. He has lead several ensembles including Fair Trade Jazz Ensemble, St. Michael’s Choir, & The Ben D’Cunha Quintet He has played the Toronto Jazz Festival, The St. Clair Music Festival, & has toured North America. His new album "This Is Autumn To Me", takes listeners on a journey, through leaf covered cobblestone streets on a brisk October afternoon, and has garnered him the title of “Mr. Autumn”

D’Cunha has been busy through the pandemic, reaching thousands across the globe with his livestream “Morning Jazz with Ben D’Cunha”, which he streamed daily for 24 weeks straight.. He has also been composing over the pandemic, & is preparing to head into the studio for his next album.
